Art Camp

Ballinasloe Community Arts Group is holding their annual Art Camp from Monday 7th of July to Friday 12th of July 2008.

This annual art camp is part of "an tSuca Fiaín" - River and Arts Festival, which this year takes place from Monday 7th of July to Sunday 13th of July, 2008. The Art Camp will consist of a series of workshops in Theatre, Music, Art, Costume Design and Dance.

The Art camp is open to young people from 6 years upwards. These workshops will start on Monday 7th of July 2008 at 10am to 2pm and will continue until Friday 11th of July 2008.

On Monday all the workshops will take place in the Emerald Ballroom, McNevin Avenue, Ballinasloe. From Tuesday 8th of July the Theatre workshops will take place on board the MV Enterprise which will be moored at the Marina, Ballinasloe.

A street pageant/parade will take place on Friday 12th of July. Assembling at 8:30pm to leave from McNevin Avenue at 9:30pm. All the young people involved in the Art Camp will be invited to participate in this event.

A performance will take place on board the MV Enterprise at the Marina on Sunday 13th of July at 3pm.

A prize giving ceremony will take place after the performance. All our young participants are requested to attend.

For each day of the art camp all participants are required to bring a packed lunch to include a sandwich/drink/a piece of fruit. Preferably not crisps/sweets/chewing gum. It is advisable that the young people involved wear old clothes, runners, etc.

All workshops will be supervised.

Any parent/guardian who would like to be involved in the art camp is most welcome to attend.

The fee for the art camp is €45 per child. Family rates available please ask.
