Ballinasloe Community Arts Group (BCAG) consists of a small band of dedicated volunteers who came together in 2002 to help promote the Arts locally.

Since its foundation the group has provided a wide variety of public entertainment including music, comedy, drama and visual arts as well as a wide range of events catering for children.

The highlight of each year however is an tSuca Fiáin River and Arts Festival which is now in its seventh year.

There are two themes which underpin the context and the ethos of the festival. The first is that the festival is predominantly aimed at a younger audience so throughout the week children's workshops in theatre, music, samba and art will be in full swing.

The second theme is the link with the river itself, largely due to the unique floating theatre which has been sailing in to Ballinasloe since 2000. Everyone will be looking forward to the arrival of captains Conal Kearney and Ian Brabazon in to the marina this summer.
