Aesop's Foibles and Fables

An entertainment for children based on the stories of Aesop by Jack Healy and George Hanover. These stories are brought to hilarious life, with all their, too familiar faults and failings, by members of the Working Actors’ Workshop of Theatre Makers.

A colourful and unique parade will make its way through the town to the Marina, arriving around 10pm. A fleet of decorated and illuminated Lough Derg Rally barges and boats will depart from the Moycarn Hotel and their arrival in the Marina will be followed by a spectacular firework display.

Comedy from Cathal Costello
8pm Gullane's Hotel
The only way is up for rising comedy star Cathal Costello. A gifted actor, mimic, and stand-up comedian, his exposure on RTE’s Saturday morning satirical show, The Usual Suspects has brought him to national prominence.

Ballinasloe Community Arts Group (BCAG) consists of a small band of dedicated volunteers who came together in 2002 to help promote the Arts locally.

Since its foundation the group has provided a wide variety of public entertainment including music, comedy, drama and visual arts as well as a wide range of events catering for children.

The highlight of each year however is an tSuca Fiáin River and Arts Festival which is now in its eighth year.
